Another opportunity for development in the IT sector

Thanks to Invest in Pomerania, a local government initiative coordinated by the Pomerania Development Agency, a further 126 people will be given the chance to develop in the direction of modern technologies. The training courses will be 50% subsidised by EU funds.

Inter IT has signed an agreement with Invest in Pomerania to conduct a series of reskilling training courses as part of the ongoing Invest in Pomerania Academy project. This is in response to the needs of the market, which is moving very strongly towards digitalisation. It is forecast that with the current growth dynamics of the high-tech sector in Pomerania, there will soon be a shortage of programmers at a level of 20%. The replenishment of human resources is an essential support for the development of the IT sector in Pomerania.

Anyone can become a programmer

Inter IT is to train 126 people, who will have the opportunity to gain qualifications as a programmer – Junior Java Developer. These are competences that allow them to find a good job in a future-oriented industry and to be employed by companies with global brands. The course programme includes at least 240 hours and participants will receive 50% funding, made possible by EU funds from the regional operational programme.

Development of the labour market = development of the region’s economy

– The aim of the Invest in Pomerania Academy project is to invest in human capital. Those who take advantage of the training will have the opportunity to develop their careers in the most promising industry. The investors we talk to are involved in ambitious international projects which often have a direct impact on the reality around us. So if someone is dreaming of a job in IT, then our project is for them – says Monika Stokfisz, Talent Attraction Team Manager, Invest in Pomerania.

The agreement with Inter IT is already the third, concerning IT training, concluded by Invest in Pomerania. As a result of the agreements concluded at the end of 2022 with Infoshare Academy and the Pomeranian Foundation for Economic Initiatives, almost 350 people can gain new competences. At the moment, a total of around 470 people will be given the chance to retrain and start working in IT as part of the Invest in Pomerania Academy project.
