The 10th edition of the competition “Grounds for a medal” 2023 has started

Grunt na medal

The aim of the nationwide ‘Grunty na medal’ competition is to honour the best investment areas in each voivodeship. It is organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), acting in cooperation with the Marshals of the Voivodships and the Regional Investor Service Centres.

As part of the competition, the most attractive properties comprehensively prepared for production investments are selected. The winning area will be promoted on the portal of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and within the framework of investment marketing conducted by PAIH and the Marshals’ Offices on the international forum. As part of the award, in addition to the occasional statuette, the “Grunt na medal” 2023 certificate, the “Grunt na medal” 2023 logo can be used in promotional materials.

What are the rules of the competition?

Investment areas can only be submitted for the competition by district governors, mayors and heads of municipalities in which they are located. Only undeveloped investment areas (the so-called greenfields) with a surface area of not less than 2 ha, designated in accordance with the valid local spatial development plan or the study on conditions and directions of spatial development for industrial investments, will be qualified.

Applications are accepted from March 1 to April 14, 2023, however before submitting the application, information on the investment area must be entered into the database of offers, located on the PAIH portal: https://baza.paih.gov.pl/. The competition documents are accepted by Invest in Pomerania – the regional certified partner of PAIH.

The results of the competition will be announced by 15 December, while the winners will be presented with their awards during an organised conference.

The condition for attracting investors to the region is a rich offer of investment areas. Its development is taken care of, among others, by Invest in Pomerania, a self-governmental initiative coordinated by the Pomerania Development Agency. The same goal is served by the currently organised competition ‘Grunty na medal’. Its winners will be given a unique opportunity to promote their commune or district as the best location for production investments, and the awarded areas will be recommended first to foreign investors – says Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of Pomorskie Voivodeship.

Detailed information and all documents necessary in the process of submitting land for the competition can be found in the attachments below.
