Nextbase, the world\u2019s leading manufacturer of smart dashcams, has opened a new branch office in Gda\u0144sk, Poland. The expansion strengthens the company\u2019s international R&D network, providing additional capacity to its Wales-based global hub for product development and engineering.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Gda\u0144sk team will work in close collaboration with colleagues in the United Kingdom, focusing on <\/span>software engineering, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and next-generation automotive safety and connectivity solutions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Wales remains the heart of our global R&D operation, but with growing demand for intelligent <\/em><\/span>automotive-based imaging technology<\/em>, we are excited to expand with a supporting hub in Gda\u0144sk<\/em> – said <\/span>Ceri Hill, Director of Engineering at Nextbase<\/span><\/b>. – Poland offers outstanding technical expertise that will allow us to accelerate innovation while maintaining Wales as the core of our product development<\/em>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Polish operation will be led by <\/span>Maja Tomczak<\/span><\/b> as site leader and project engineering manager. – I feel honored that the new center is being established in Gda\u0144sk, where we will find great talent and deliver solutions that harness the technological potential of the Polish market while bringing value to Nextbase customers around the globe<\/em> – she commented.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nextbase entered Poland in 2021, quickly establishing a strong market presence with its award-winning dashcams. The new center is part of <\/span>Nextbase Labs, the company\u2019s global innovation unit, and will initially employ 20 engineers with plans for further expansion and collaboration with local universities and startups.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The opening was attended by <\/span>Marcin Skwierawski, Deputy Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship<\/span><\/b>, who emphasized the importance of the investment for the region\u2019s technology ecosystem. – The mobility and autonomous driving sectors are among our most strategic specializations. We are delighted that Nextbase has joined the group of investors developing innovative solutions in our region<\/em> – he said.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With headquarters in London and offices in Wales, the United States, Germany, Japan, and China, the Nextbase team includes nearly 200 people worldwide.
