The event\u2019s eight edition was organized by the Gda\u0144sk Entrepreneurship Incubator STARTER, the City of Gda\u0144sk in cooperation with Washington Business Week. Invest in Pomerania sat on the jury assessing the final projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gda\u0144sk Business Week connects not only young people, but also foreign and Polish representatives of companies and institutions who take care of participants, teach them about business aspects, evaluate their projects and listen to the participants’ presentations. Representatives of Invest in Pomerania took part in this year’s edition, offering knowledge useful in investment processes. They also sat in the jury\u00a0 that assessed the final projects created by participants.<\/p>\n

\u2013 I followed the projects\u2019 presentations with a keen interest \u2013 says Bartosz Wojtasiak, project manager at Invest in Pomerania. \u2013 The scope of ideas exceeded\u00a0 this year\u2019s Gda\u0144sk Business Week program and showed young people\u2019s understanding of\u00a0 economics and advanced technologies.<\/p>\n

Good cooperation <\/strong><\/p>\n

The list of professionals present at this year’s edition shows the scale of cooperation between the region\u2019s institutions and companies: Starter, Gda\u0144sk municipality and the Pomeranian Voivodeship authorities , as well as InvestGda, Invest in Pomerania, Speednet, Flex, Jeppesen, BZ WBK Bank, Port of Gdansk, Nordea, State Street, Lufthansa, Profit Plus , DCT and others. The program was also attended by educators from the Gda\u0144sk Foundation for Management Development and MBA Kids. LINKS<\/p>\n

\u2013 Throughout the week I watched the transformation of young people who quickly learned how to work in a team and overcome language barriers. Participants from various countries integrated swiftly and after a few days they were able to propose first business ideas. They also showed a huge confidence and belief in their own abilities.\u2013 says Anna Knoff, event coordinator at Gda\u0144sk startup incubator Starter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Microrobots and anti-jetlag masks<\/strong><\/p>\n

10 lectures, workshops and so-called business simulations helped participants to refine their business English, introduced them to the art of public speaking and social media management. The most important, however, was creativity, stimulated by new input of knowledge and exercises. Thanks to these, many innovative business projects emerged to be evaluated by a group of experts during the last day of the program. Among them were microrobots implanted in the bloodstream, masks to prevent jetlag and ecological fertilizers , to name just a few.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
