Arla Foods – Scandinavian dairy cooperative – is looking for new employees for its shared services center in Gda\u0144sk. On this occasion the company will lease additional sixth floor in Gda\u0144sk Neptun Office Center especially for the 100 newcomers. Additionally, this year Arla celebrates its 10th anniversary of Global Financial Service Center Gda\u0144sk. This reinvestment will attract talent from all over Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We chose Gda\u0144sk ten years ago from 62 different locations around the world<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 says Henrik Bak, Vice President of Arla Global Financial Services Centre –\u00a0and recent years of Tri-City’s growth have confirmed this well-made decision.<\/em><\/p>\n

Arla is one of the ‘veterans’ of Tri-City’s Business Services Sector. Its decade long presence undermines the assumption that business services centers are here just for a\u00a0short period of time. Arla’s office is dedicated to data processing, finance and accounting. Thanks to the processes Danish, Dutch and Swedish dairymen receive their payment on time and the company\u2019s branches that are operating around the world maintain smooth communication.<\/p>\n

New members of Arla’s team will enable the company to support vital processes relevant to big data and lean methodologies (like Scrum).\u00a0There is also a\u00a0Data Scientist<\/strong>\u00a0offer present on Arla’s 0101job list \u2013 one of the most wanted positions in the digital era responsible for extracting the insights from company’s databases.<\/p>\n

Shared service centers have a\u00a0strong influence on the labour market<\/em>\u00a0– says Ma\u0142gorzata Tusk, project manager, Invest in Pomerania –\u00a0they generate hundreds of new jobs and create a\u00a0demand for advanced skills emerging from technological development. As a\u00a0result, the market is expanding with new jobs, and people are undertaking trainings to expand their skills.<\/em><\/p>\n

Transition of processes not only generates new job places and requirements. In 2017, Arla has launched Employee Exchange Program to perform foreign projects in Denmark, Sweden and Germany and even in Dubai. 12 people took that chance and had the opportunity to develop their competences and witness different cultural surroundings of the company. After a\u00a0period of 3 to 12 months the delegates come back to Gda\u0144sk. This trend means an invisible but significant impact on the Pomeranian labour market.<\/p>\n
