August 2017 – Benetel Ltd, an Irish provider of 4G\/ LTE wireless radio solutions for the telecommunications market, has opened their first international office and R&D centre at the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park (PPNT) in Gdynia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gdynia is the right choice for Polish headquarters of a\u00a0company active in the field of future-oriented technologies. The Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia is a\u00a0space dedicated to innovators such as Benetel Ltd which creates modern products, services and initiatives. I\u00a0am glad that the company decided to open its R&D center here. Research and development, searching for new solutions and their further implementation stimulate our economy. Benetel has been providing innovative wireless solutions to major network equipment suppliers globally for over 15 years, but the new office and R&D centre in Gdynia will represent their first overseas presence.<\/p>\n

The company today is focused on developing the key hardware platform for LTE small cells \u2013 compact, low-powered radio access nodes. As data consumption over mobile networks grows, there is ever increasing strain on existing network infrastructure. LTE-standard Small Cells provide a\u00a0low-cost and easily deployable method for increasing network capacity in dense urban areas, providing service to remote areas, as well as enabling private LTE networks for sectors such as Public Safety where communication is critical. Benetel recently collaborated with industry-leading OEMs to deliver a\u00a0portable, ultra-small form factor LTE small cell in dedicated public safety frequencies to be placed in police cars, fire engines and ambulances and deployed anywhere at any time – providing emergency response personnel with a\u00a0secure 4G network that will enable them to communicate regardless of the environment they are operating in.<\/p>\n

The company plans to grow the team in Gdynia and expand the capability of the branch office over the coming 18 months, with a\u00a0strong focus on 4G and early pre-5G innovation. Roles will primarily be for experienced electrical engineering graduates with a\u00a0focus on hardware development, both RF and digital.<\/p>\n

“Benetel is an example of an investment with a\u00a0very high level of processes. The employed specialists are working on technology solutions which will be introduced in few years.
