Future of the Port of Gdansk was discussed during the seminar \u201cPort of Gdansk \u2013 5th<\/sup>\u00a0generation port. As of today and future strategy\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

February 13 in Gdansk\u2019s Northern Port a\u00a0“Port of Gdansk – 5 generation Port. As of today and future strategy” seminar took place. During the meeting, members of the Maritime Cluster mainly discussed the conditions they must meet so the Port of Gdansk would become the 5 generation Port.<\/p>\n

The visualization of the new terminal in the Port of Gdynia is ready<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has been announced, how will the New Ferry Terminal in the Port of Gdynia look like. The investment will cost about 155 mln z\u0142. The completion date of the investment isn’t yet known.<\/p>\n

Abraham street in Gdynia is to be transformed into woonerf \u2013 an area shared by pedestrian and car traffic. The development concept is going to be selected in a\u00a0contest addressed to students of the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Gdansk.<\/p>\n

The construction of Finferries hybrid ship is in the last phase<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Crist Shipyard, which is constructing one of the few hybrid ferries in Europe, has performed a\u00a0launching test in a\u00a0dry dock. The ferry will be completed to use in April, 2017.<\/p>\n

Vistula Lagoon and the Gulf of Gda\u0144sk will be connected<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Government of Poland has approved the law regarding the crosscut of the Vistula Peninsula. Construction works will start next year. The connection between the Vistula Lagoon and the Baltic Sea will make the route easier and faster for all ships from Lagoon\u2019s harbors. The investment will bring about 3000 new jobs during its construction and operation phases.<\/p>\n

The company of Balticon, which supports container traffic handling for international sea owners and trade forwarders, will construct a\u00a0rail terminal and a\u00a0container modification workshop on an area of 10.5 hectares located near the Deepwater Container Terminal. The construction works will start soon.<\/p>\n
