2nd February 2017, Gda\u0144sk – Swarovski, leading manufacturer of precision cut crystal since 1895 and a\u00a0world-renowned brand that adds sparkle to everything from jewelry, watches, fashion accessories to couture fashion and state-of-the-art lighting technology, will, in the course of 2017, open a\u00a0new business location in Gda\u0144sk, Poland. The new location will host Swarovski’s Global Business Services hub which will be built up gradually and in line with the company’s values over the next years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to retain its strongly competitive global position, Swarovski continuously looks for ways to improve and adapt its business and processes to stay one step ahead. The opening of the company\u2019s Global Business Services hub in Gda\u0144sk is part of a\u00a0global initiative to ensure that the Finance & Administration function stays a\u00a0high performing partner, positioned to support Swarovski\u2019s ongoing success. As part of this initiative, selected activities of Swarovski\u2019s Finance & Administration function and businesses will be bundled in Gda\u0144sk.<\/p>\n

\u201cFollowing a\u00a0very thorough evaluation process we have decided to establish the hub of Swarovski\u2019s Global Business Services in Gda\u0144sk which will be built up gradually. The Polish authorities have been highly professional and engaged in their support for us. This has created a\u00a0solid foundation for a\u00a0long-term commitment\u201d, stated Marcel Angst, Executive Vice President Global Operations Finance & Administration.<\/p>\n

Swarovski was officially welcomed in Gda\u0144sk at a\u00a0festive gathering on February 2, 2017. Numerous VIP guests attended the sparkling event and expressed pleasure concerning Swarovski\u2019s business commitment to the region.<\/p>\n

The decision for Gda\u0144sk resulted from a\u00a0comprehensive European-wide location study and ultimately Gda\u0144sk provided the best mix of relevant criteria to host the global hub of Swarovski\u2019s future global service delivery network. Significance was placed on the availability of qualified talent, the presence of reputable and cooperative universities, supportive infrastructure and high quality office space.<\/p>\n
