Once again, the conditions that the Pomeranian region offers to the business services sector have been recognized. Tricity secured 1st place in the “Most Dynamically Developing City – Poland” category at the CEE Business Services Summit & Awards 2025, which took place on March 6 in Warsaw.
The CEE Business Services Summit & Awards aims to recognize the best companies in the business services sector and facilitate networking among their representatives from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.
In this year’s 13th edition, nearly 100 outstanding companies and the most significant Business Services Sector (BSS) hubs in Central and Eastern Europe were nominated. Competitors vied in categories such as university-business collaboration, process automation implementation, employer branding initiatives, and CSR activities, while cities competed for leadership in dynamic development.
The awards gala was preceded by a two-day conference, attended by over 250 business leaders and investment experts. Among the panelists were executives and managers from Unilever, PWC, Porsche, and Bic. The Pomeranian region was represented by the Pomeranian Development Agency, which coordinates Invest in Pomerania — a local government initiative focused on investor support and attracting investments to the region.
Pomerania Among Europe’s Top Regions
The region’s dynamic economic growth is the result of a consistently executed strategy of attracting foreign investments, recognized in the fDI Intelligence Mid-Sized European Regions of the Future 2025 ranking. Pomerania ranked 3rd place, surpassing regions such as Tuscany and West Yorkshire.
— International recognition for Tricity and the region confirms that our development strategy is well-executed. It also serves as an incentive for future investors — a sign that Pomerania is associated with business success — Sławomir Kosakowski, President of the Pomeranian Development Agency
Tricity’s BSS market now comprises nearly 250 centers, employing 40,500 people. Among the most significant investments of 2024 were the announcement of a new application project by Hapag Lloyd and the launch of an R&D center by South Korean semiconductor giant SK Hynix.
