800 thousand PLN for ArkMET in the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” competition.

Production of agricultural machinery components and various types of steel structures for the industry – this is what ArkMET Arkadiusz Urbaniak’s company does, which has received funding under the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” grant competition. The company, thanks to the awarded funds, plans to develop new investment areas in the Pomeranian Voivodeship and adjust their infrastructure for the further development of its business.

Agricultural machinery from Niezabyszewo

ArkMET, is an enterprise run since 2016, which has built its business on the owner’s many years of experience in managing an enterprise engaged in the production of agricultural machinery and various types of steel structures. At present, using advanced technologies of mechanical steel processing, ArkMET carries out production activities, and their offer includes, among others, the production of agricultural machinery components and various types of steel structures for the industry. Importantly, the company offers products that meet the needs of domestic and foreign markets.

– Our products with the quality of workmanship, design and functionality can successfully compete with the products of other brands available on the European and world market. Now, thanks to the granted funding, we will be able to build a brand new company headquarters together with a production plant and warehouse facilities. This will allow us to increase our production capacity and be able to compete more effectively in Poland and abroad,” says Arkadiusz Urbaniak, owner of ArkMET.

As a result of the project, the entrepreneur will invest 2.46 million PLN and employ 5 new workers. In total, more than 1.62 hectares of new investment land will be subject to economic activation.

Looking to the future

The funds – repayable aid – are granted as part of the “Invest in Pomerania 2020″ grant project implemented by the Pomerania Development Agency. It is part of a broader policy of the Pomeranian Regional Government to prepare new investment areas, the availability of which is an essential element in building the economic competitiveness of each region. Funds awarded under the grants come from the Regional Operational Program for the Pomeranian Voivodeship for 2014-2020. The call for applications has already ended and verification of the last applications submitted by entrepreneurs is underway. The program is expected to result in the preparation of at least 50 hectares of land for investment by the end of 2023. It is estimated that the new projects will create more than 400 new jobs in the region, and entrepreneurs will invest more than 80 million PLN in the region.

– Our goal is the economic activation of areas outside the Tricity agglomeration, often economically degraded, to which we want to restore industrial value. Granted funding from EU funds causes more and more investors from both Pomerania and outside the province to locate their companies here. Each successive signed application, brings us closer to realizing our goals,” concludes Maciej Silarski, Project Manager at Invest in Pomerania 2020.
