Stronger cooperation between Bavaria and Pomerania. Invest in Pomerania at the Christmas gathering in Munich

On the 4th of December, the Nymphenburg Palace hosted a Christmas meeting arranged by the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in cooperation with Invest in Pomerania. The meetup offered a great chance to establish new relationships between entrepreneurs, as well as to strengthen relations between the Pomeranian and Bavarian regions. Many new commercial and investment opportunities were opened.

“The relationship between our regions are extremely significant. The German investments in Pomerania have led to the creation of thousands of new jobs, transfer of the know-how and technology and therefore to reinforcing the Polish economic growth.” – wrote Mieczysław Struk, the Marshall of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the letter addressed to the participants of the meeting.

The representatives of Gdynia, Gdańsk, Rumia, the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park, Pomeranian Special Economic Zone and Pomerania Development Agency attended the meeting. Vice-president of Gdynia – Katarzyna Gruszecka – Spychała was also present, as well as many delegates from international consular offices, Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy,  Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, The Cluster Initiative Bavaria, the City of Munich and many more German institutions and businessmen.

– It is already a tradition that we meet here to talk about what has happened, what is now and what is still to come. The economic exchange between Poland and Germany is extremely important for both countries. The economy is a strong foundation of our relationship. I am convinced that the potential for cooperation is even greater, that is why meetings like today are so important said Andrzej Osiak, Polish Consul General in Bavaria, during the night’s gala opening.

Lufthansa Systems, Bayer or Thyssenkrup along with Steico – a company originating from Bavaria that is a leading producer of innovative wooden building materials with an office in the south of Pomerania – show that German investments are some of the leading ones in the region. Also many Polish entrepreneurs are looking for cooperation and export opportunities in Germany.
