MEP Solutions, a key link in the global semiconductor supply chain, will soon begin production near Baltic Hub. This investment was announced at SEMICON Europa, the leading industry event in Munich.
MEP Solutions provides structural and infrastructure modules for semiconductor factories. By consolidating its offerings for major global consortia and setting innovative, high standards for product quality, the company now operates in 12 markets across two continents.
Gdańsk: A Key Link in the European Supply Chain
In its new facility, MEP Solutions will produce 4D FAB IN A BOX® modules, which are used in the construction of semiconductor factories, data centers, and nuclear power plants. The Gdańsk branch will implement the OSM (Off Site Manufacturing) model—a new construction industry segment essential for advanced factory projects. The facility will also include a research and development center.
– Poland has significant untapped potential. When we decided to invest and launch production in Europe, institutions like the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, as well as offices in Tel Aviv and Warsaw, provided essential support. We received very professional assistance from Invest in Pomerania and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, for which we are grateful. Starting operations in Gdańsk is a strategic investment for the growth of our company and for strengthening our global market position – says Lior Ben Attiya, CEO of MEP OSM Solutions.
The company plans to create 60 new jobs, with total investment expected to reach PLN 82 million, of which the first phase, valued at PLN 32 million, has received support under the Polish Investment Zone. Once completed, MEP Solutions will be the only OSM producer in Poland, bringing invaluable know-how and boosting Poland’s competitiveness within the region.
– MEP Solutions is the latest semiconductor company to arrive in the Tricity area. In October, South Korean giant SK hynix, specializing in memory solutions, announced the launch of a new R&D center here. Poland, and Pomerania in particular, are becoming natural locations for expanding the semiconductor value chain—whether in design, software development, or the supply of components and solutions for semiconductor factories. Our regional ecosystem is growing steadily – said Radosław Bojarczuk, Sector Manager at Invest in Pomerania.
Alongside a suite of location selection services provided by Invest in Pomerania, the MEP Solutions project has also received support under the Polish Investment Zone.
– One of our core goals is to establish long-term relationships with investors, as evidenced by the support decision granted to MEP OSM Solutions – says Błażej Konkol, Vice President of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone. – We collaborate with national and regional business environment institutions to attract high-tech companies and strengthen Pomerania’s position as an innovation hub in Central Europe.
Pomerania and Poland at SEMICON Europa
The MEP Solutions investment was announced at SEMICON Europa, Europe’s premier semiconductor industry event. The Pomerania Development Agency, the coordinating body for Invest in Pomerania, and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone are co-hosting the regional pavilion, which this year has taken on the role of a national showcase. The Polish and international semiconductor ecosystem is represented by key companies and universities, including Intel, SII, Flex, Jabil, Lacroix, Novatronik, Solidigm, SK hynix, Vector, Synopsis, Fluence Technology, DCD-SEMI, Saule Technologies, Masters Creative Technology, Gdańsk University of Technology, and QNA.
– Three years ago, the World Bank identified the semiconductor sector as a priority for our region. Thanks to Invest in Pomerania, we are successfully executing our strategy and already seeing results. We are the most active region in the country in promoting the sector, and new investment projects are being announced right here in Pomerania. Next year, Tricity will host the Industry Strategy Symposium—the most important semiconductor conference in Europe – commented Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
