Law on COVID19 in Poland – Handbook by Baker McKenzie experts

“The first set of statutes within the so-called Polish Anti-Crisis Shield was published and entered into force on 31 March/1 April 2020 and the second one on 17 April 2020 (so very fast after the first one). The most crucial parts of the new laws are the extensive amendment to the so-called First Law on COVID-19 and new act published on 17 April 2020 i.e. the so-called Second Law on COVID-19.

The new laws are in fact entirely new documents. Their enormous size and structure makes them difficult to analyze. Also, they are or will be additionally supplemented by number of decrees. Unfortunately, the new regulations are not ideal from a legislative point of view and sometimes they contain errors or they are simply unclear..”
