Data centers are becoming a necessity for running a modern business. For this reason, Invest in Pomerania – a local government initiative coordinated by the Pomerania Development Agency – supports new investment in the region. The 3S Group Data Center will strengthen the local IT industry and the quality of services it provides.
The 3S Group, owned by P4, a leader in mobile telephony and PLAY network operator, has been present on the market for 20 years. The basis for services provided by the 3S Group is its infrastructure: a fiber network of 6000 km and a cluster of geographically dispersed data center facilities. 3S Group, employing 300 people, consists of 3S companies and the 3S Data Center located in Katowice, as well as regional offices in Warsaw, Cracow, Wroclaw, and Gdansk.
“The facility in Gdansk is an important point on the map of our data centers – says Monika Roś-Gruszczyk, member of the management board of companies in the 3S Group. – We believe that Tri-City with the Pomeranian region has great economic potential. For several months we have been developing our structures here and building a fiber-optic network. The server room was our missing link in this region. We are convinced that our IT resources can support the development of regional business” – he adds.
Server room with power
The 3S Group designs and implements ICT solutions that support the realization of Customers’ business goals. The comprehensive solutions it offers include network projects, cloud computing services, unified communications, and technologies that support data security in the business.
The new server room is located at Nowy Świat Street in Gdańsk. The branch with an area of over 500 m2 will provide a full range of Cloud2B ecosystem services (a proprietary cloud computing solution for business created by the Group’s engineers) and other ICT solutions.
The data center gives chances
Data processing centers are an increasingly important element of IT infrastructure. The rapid development of such fields as Big Data, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, or artificial intelligence increases the challenges of processing and storing digital information. Data centers play an important role in ensuring continuity of digital service delivery and data security. The presence of a new server room of the 3S Group in Tri-City is excellent information for IT companies and a chance to increase their efficiency.
