10 years, 100 investments and over 15,000 jobs is indeed a fantastic reason to celebrate and celebrate we did!
Last week, we at Invest in Pomerania met with our business partners, investors, and regional government representatives and shared with them our achievements since our formation n 2011.
We were established in 2011 to support FDI projects in the region. Over the last decade, we have been the one-stop-shop for investors looking to explore the region for potential future investments. We have processed over 965 requests for information and organized 384 investor visits showcasing the economic diversity and dynamism of the region.
We are proud to have helped global brands like Amazon, Intel, Bayer, Alteams, Flex, Lacroix, Thyssenkrupp, Lufthansa Systems, Swarovski, State Street, Maersk Drilling, Arrow, Hapag Lloyd and Thomson Reuters amongst others, establish their presence in the region.
We managed to achieve this through a strategic mix of national and international marketing, presenting at partner programs and conferences and thus establishing Pomerania as a premium investment and growth destination. We are regular and valued participants at premium trade gatherings like GITEX in Dubai, ExpoReal in Munich, MIPIM in Cannes, OTC in Texas, Belt and Road Global Summit in Hong Kong.
Our commitment to developing the region extends to the Small and Medium Enterprises in the region. We have a small grant for SME’s to help them acquire land and construct warehousing and production facilities. Currently, we are implementing 13 projects to the tune of 10,4 mln PLN.
Pomerania is fast developing as an AI hub. It is currently the second-best AI location in Poland. We are currently working with different players in the AI sector (Corporates academia and the community) to create an AI hub and promote the AI cluster. So far, 16 of the best companies have joined the cluster and more are joining in every day.
How would this exponential growth be possible without a deep and diverse talent pool to fuel it? This is where Live more. Pomerania comes in. Live more. Right now, we are one of the only ones in the region running a program like this!
To further attract talent to the region, we have recently launched a one-of-its-kind profile led recruitment platform which addresses the top recruitment needs in the region and targets everyone currently not working in the region. We are further addressing talent attraction by providing an attractive relocation package to companies looking to relocate key employees to Pomerania.
For us, as important as it is, 100 is just a number, a reminder of not only how far we have come, but also, how far we still have to go. Right now, as you read this, the investment count is already crossed 106… so keep watching… exciting times ahead!
