Allegro is the most popular Polish e-commerce platform. The company will be starting operations in the Tricity, where it will develop its most innovative projects. The company is not slowing down, and only this year plans to hire a total of 1,500 people – including several hundred employees who will join it in new locations.

Allegro is one of the most recognisable Polish brands. We are confident that Tricity will become one of the main centres of the company in the next few years. Why? First of all, due to the hospitable climate of Pomerania, which on the one hand attracts new employees, provides them with great conditions for living and personal development, on the other hand, allows you to build completely new technological solutions, based on the exchange of knowledge and a strong IT community in Tricityassures Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

So far, Allegro has worked in six locations – offices in Warsaw, Kraków, Toruń, Poznań and logistics centres in Błonie and Adamów near Warsaw. Now they will be joined by Katowice, Łódź, Gdańsk, Lublin and Wrocław. The first recruitments to work in them are already underway. In the first phase, the greatest emphasis is put on recruitment in the area of technology.

– Allegro is constantly developing, so we are looking for new software developers, product managers, data analysts and other specialists, who will co-create and develop our platform. Allegro’s new location in the Tricity is a great opportunity for us. We believe in the huge potential of the Tricity, which brings together a huge number of specialists from the IT industry. Currently, we are choosing the most convenient places for our office and we are already looking forward to expanding our services in a new location says Marcin Gruszka, Head of Communications at Allegro.

Allegro is growing very dynamically. The number of offers available on the platform increased year-on-year by about 50%, and in the third quarter of this year for the first time in history exceeded 250 million. With the new offices Allegro wants to reach talented professionals who will develop Allegro.pl platform, new services such as the fintech Allegro Pay, Allegro Business platform and local auction platform Allegro Lokalnie.

It’s always value added, when we welcome such a renowned end customer brand investing here in the BSS dimension. Allegro is a popular brand, and a very sought for employer- especially in the IT field. I’m convinced it’s a beginning of great cooperation and Tricity will have many more milestones to celebrate together with Allegrosays Marcin Grzegory, Deputy Director, Invest in Pomerania.

Allegro is a great place to work. Looking for new members of the team, the company from the very beginning Allegro wants to say hello to the candidates and starts the campaign #dobrzetuprogramować, prepared individually for each of the cities.
