Galvion Officially Opens Manufacturing Facility in Gdańsk

Galvion, a global leader in advanced ballistic protection systems and power and data management solutions for military forces, has officially opened its European manufacturing facility in Gdańsk, Poland.

The company designs, develops, and delivers cutting-edge head protection systems, smart power and data management solutions, and integrated soldier systems for the world’s most demanding military and tactical teams.

Strategic Location

The decision to locate the facility in the Tricity area followed detailed analyses and a series of site visits. The investment was significantly supported by the Invest in Pomerania initiative, coordinated by the Pomeranian Development Agency. Invest in Pomerania provided both strategic and operational assistance including regional defense sector analyses, coordination of location visits in collaboration with Colliers, and support in recruiting the first manager for the Polish branch.

– The opening of our facility in Gdańsk is an important step in implementing our regional operational strategy said Todd Stirtzinger, CEO of Galvion. – This investment allows us to significantly shorten delivery times and increase responsiveness to the needs of our European clients, including NATO forces and beyond. Poland – and particularly the Pomeranian region – has proven to be the ideal location thanks to talent availability, logistics infrastructure, and the commitment of local partners.

This investment strengthens Pomerania’s position as a key player in the European defense industry and is yet another sign of the region’s growing appeal to global technology firms.

– Galvion’s presence confirms that our region is not only a center for modern business services, but also a place where companies from various sectors – including those crucial to Europe’s security – can thrive said Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. – Investments in the defense sector enhance the region’s economic potential, contributing to the creation of high-quality jobs and the influx of advanced technological competencies. As local government, we are consistently building favorable conditions for such projects.

2 Million Helmets by the End of 2025

The new facility, located in a logistics park owned by Investika Real Estate Fund, is now fully operational. Currently employing over 60 specialists, it focuses on the assembly, storage, and servicing of head protection systems. Galvion expects that by the end of 2026, nearly 2 million of its helmets will be in use across Europe and NATO countries. The Gdańsk site will not only help meet this growing demand but will also play a key role in the maintenance, modernization, and further development of next-generation protective systems.

Galvion’s European center will continue to expand through 2026 and beyond, eventually supporting the company’s full portfolio of products and solutions.
