Best high schools in Poland

The list of the high schools published in Perspektywy magazine included also technical schools, which makes the study very interesting for the industry. In Pomerania there were  four schools awarded with the title of Golden School 2016, eight of them received the title of Silver School 2016 and four technical schools were honored with the Bronze School 2016 title.

New flights from Gdansk

In the next few months new European connections from Gdansk Airport are due. Pomerania will have direct connections to Amsterdam, Kiev, Naples and Grenoble.

Pomorskie Voivodeship as the first region in Poland accepted Voivodship Spatial Management Plan 2030

Pomeranian Regional Planning Office had prepared Voivodship Spatial Management Plan 2030, which has now been accepted by Voivodship Parliament.  At the same time, Gdańsk – Gdynia – Sopot Metropolitan area Spatial Management Plan had been prepared and then accepted. The most important issues in the document include the arrangement of spatial structures, development of metropolitan functions and transportation and environmental questions.

The first step to the modernization of the Kashubian railway connections is already behind us!

The public tender for the construction of the two new tracks to Koscierzyna, the railway bypass of Kartuzy and the electrification of the all railway connections was announced last week by PKP (Polish National Railway) PLK (Polish Railway). The goal of the investment project is to establish easy connection between the Port of Gdynia and the rest of the country. As regards to the construction of the new PKM stations, It will be completed at a later stage, when the funds for this aim will be obtained.

Pomerania Development Agency opens grant competition for innovative entrepreneurs

Co-financing in the form of grants will be awarded under the Sub-measure 2.2.1. “Profiled investments – grant support”. The competition is held under the Regional Operational Programme for Pomerania 2014-2020 (ROP 2014-2020). Proposals can be submitted from 1 February to 15 March 2017. The grant is designed for companies planning to introduce new products and services withinPomeranian Smart Specializations.

Innovative conception of the hybrid power transmission system developed at Gdansk University of Technology

A new concept of hybrid power transmission system has been proposed by the team of the faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology, supervised by Wojciech Litwin, in cooperation with Marine Works company. Thw solution will have a wide application for example in yacht industry.
