The Pomeranian company Armet Bis will build a warehouse in Jeleńska Huta thanks to the funding under the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” grant competition

Armet Bis, a Pomeranian manufacturer specialising in customised production of office and hotel furniture, received a grant under the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” competition. Thanks to the allocated funds, Armet Bis will build a modern warehouse and an assembly hall in the village of Jeleńska Huta, in the municipality of Szemud, where the company’s factory is located.

The history of Armet Bis dates back to 1996. Initially, the company was engaged in the production of its own line of furniture, their products went to offices and hotels throughout the country. At present, the company focuses on the comprehensive execution of unique orders, completed on the basis of the client’s project. Armet Bis carries out orders for leading companies and institutions in Poland. The company’s services have so far been provided for the Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, Forum Gallery in Gdańsk, Smyk SA, maritime office in Gdynia, Polish Security Printing Works, Chancellery of the president of the Republic of Poland, Energa SA and PKO BP SA.

Our company does not carry out serial production of furniture, all our creations are unique, created for a specific customer. We work comprehensively and cooperate with the client at every stage of the process, from consulting to furniture installation and after-sales service. We try to follow the trends and stand out from the competition, which is why the modern warehouse space, which we will build with the support of Invest in Pomerania, is extremely important for us. We are very grateful for the opportunity we received and plan to make the most of it  – says Robert Pstrągowski, President of the Management Board.

The planned investment involves the construction of a warehouse and assembly hall together with internal communication infrastructure and the arming of land with an area of 1.292 ha. The total value of the investment is almost PLN 1.9 million, of which Armet Bis will receive PLN 785.5 thousand of co-financing. The implementation of the project will affect the modernisation of the process of storage and assembly of furniture, and, consequently, will increase the production capacity of the company. Armet Bis plans to expand production and increase foreign sales of its goods. The company cooperates with contractors from Germany, the United States, Denmark, France, Russia, Spain, Great Britain and Italy.

–  Armet Bis proves that the Pomeranian SME sector has great potential for development. Potential, which is proudly supported by the local government of the Voivodeship, among other things, through dedicated grant competitions, which are funded from regional EU funds. I am convinced that Armet Bis will make the most of this opportunity and we will be able to see how the grant accelerates the development and competitiveness of this company –  says Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship.

By the decision of the management board of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, the funds of more than PLN 10.4 million were intended to support small and medium-sized enterprises which carry out projects in Pomerania including the preparation of new investment areas for production and logistics activities.

The competition is carried out until the allocation and the reserve list are exhausted. 13 applications have already been submitted for a total investment of almost PLN 57 million.
