Tricity on the top of the investment potential in Poland report

„Tri-City: Investment Potential” is one of eight reports, the second edition of the Business Environment Assessment Study (BEAS). Almost 600 directors of companies operating in the Polish market were asked to share their opinions. Tricity received the highest note among other cities being first in area of quality of living and education potential.

This report was prepared by a wide set of experts in particular scopes. Representatives of Antal as the labour market expert, Cushman & Wakefield advised on infrastructure and Adaptive shared insights on the factors that impact future investment.

The analysis provides an assessment of business environment through the eyes of those business decision-makers. The results enable us to take an in-depth look at the local and Polish market from the perspective of businesses and outline the most important company growth trends. Notes were given in a fields of infrastructure, office spaces, public administration support, education, employment and business potential and quality of living. And in this final scope Tricity have received the highest score what includes apart from natural environment also accessibility to culture, education, healthcare, shops and services and safety.

Tricity, along with the entire Pomerania region, ranks among Poland’s top-five destinations for foreign investment. There are almost 3.8 thousand foreign-owned companies in the region, and Pomerania receives 13% of all FDI that flows into Poland. Pomorskie is a fastest growing region in Poland according to GDP dynamic – 7% in 2017 and between 2012 and 2016 growth was even faster than in Berlin and Paris.

Tricity entered 2019 as a recognized and popular BSS market. Total employment numbers in the industry have grown from 6 to 26 thousand over the last 7 years and over 80 new projects have been initiated in the city.
