Established in 1995, WAIPA brings together investment promotion agencies from around the world, serving as a platform for the exchange of experience, knowledge and best practices. Its main tasks include promoting and developing cooperation among investment promotion agencies. The organization cooperates with institutions such as ICC, IEDC, ILO, OECD, UNCTAD, UNIDO, UNWTO and the World Bank, which are members of the Consultative Committee and contribute to the implementation of WAIPA’s objectives.

Membership in the organization also opens up new opportunities, such as participation in global conferences, international research, workshops and training, through which Invest in Pomerania will be able to forge new partnerships.
