EU grants for SMEs for the relocation of employees – the competition from May 24

Entrepreneurs from the offshore technology, port and logistics, IT and medical technology sectors in the field of diseases of affluence and the ageing period can apply for relocation grants for newly hired employees. As part of the support, specialists moving permanently to the Pomeranian Voivodeship will receive funds to cover the necessary expenses related to the move. Applications can be submitted from May 24, and the value of the scholarship for one employee is PLN 10,000.

 

What can an entrepreneur and a new employee gain?
As part of the competition, an entrepreneur from the micro, small or medium-sized enterprises sector will be able to receive a grant in the form of a scholarship for newly hired employees who decide to move to the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The value of one scholarship is PLN 10,000. PLN. Several applications can be submitted, but one enterprise can obtain support for a maximum of 80 people. The employer has time to fill new jobs covered by the support until December 31, 2022. The scholarship will be provided in the form of a one-time grant for an entrepreneur after concluding an employment contract with a new employee. The entrepreneur is obliged to transfer the scholarship to the employee, who can use it according to his needs for costs related to the change of residence and work, e.g. for moving, renting an apartment and purchasing its equipment.

For whom?
The support is an investment incentive for companies from the SME sector, which as at the date of signing the contract – transferring the scholarship – will conduct registered activities (confirmed with a relevant entry) in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Applicants must conduct activities related to selected Smart Specializations of Pomerania (ISP), i.e. ISP 1 – offshore and port and logistics technologies, ISP 2 – IT – interactive technologies in an information-saturated environment and ISP 4 – medical technologies in the field of civilization diseases and the ageing period. The support concerns the relocation of employees working in positions directly related to the activities that fit into the areas of these three Smart Specializations of Pomerania. Employment must be based on an employment contract with a minimum wage of 6,000. PLN gross.

How and when?
applications can be submitted from May 24 this year at the seat of the Pomeranian Development Agency S.A. PLN 1.5 million has been allocated to the competition. The call for proposals will be carried out until the allocation of funds is exhausted. Documentation and detailed information can be found at www.arp.gda.pl.

Why is the self-government of the Pomorskie Voivodeship investing in the relocation of highly qualified employees?
The purpose of the grant competition is to increase the investment attractiveness of the Pomeranian Voivodeship by creating better conditions for the development of SMEs. The assumed results include an increase in the inflow of investors, the level of reinvestment of enterprises present in the region, an increase in the number of specialists in priority industries and the development of innovative companies. – “The efficiency of the economy and its competitiveness requires a constant inflow of highly qualified employees. The grant competition responds to this need, and the industries covered by the competition are of key importance for the region. Pomorskie is an attractive place to live in and we hope that the scholarship will be an important incentive for specialists to move to our voivodeship and for the return of those who left here and now decide to come back to us permanently. The competition gains the employer, new employee and, of course, the region’s economy, that is us” – explains project manager Maciej Silarski.

Who is managing the project implementation?
The recruitment is organized by the Pomeranian Development Agency, which implements the grant project entitled “Invest in Pomerania 2020” under Measure 2.5. External investors of Priority Axis 2. Enterprises of the Regional Operational Program of the Pomorskie Voivodeship for 2014-2020.
