Schleswig-Holstein representatives visit Pomerania. Want to strengthen economic cooperation with Pomorskie

The German delegation met today with the councilors of the Pomeranian regional assembly and the president of Gdynia, followed by a visit in the headquarters of Pomerania Development Agency where they participated in a meeting with Invest in Pomerania initiative. A day earlier, they had the opportunity to take part in the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of Poland’s first partially free elections held on the 4th of May throughout the whole country.

The Pomorskie Regional Assembly is a long-term partner of the Schleswig-Holstein Federal State. This northernmost German “Land” located at the Baltic Sea is one of the most important partners of Pomerania. The partnership is already 20 years old, and one of the first signed
in 1999 by the then newly created Pomerania Voivodship.

This time, the German delegation consisted of representatives of all political factions in the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag, or state parliament. Chaired by Klaus Schlie, the president of the parliament of Schleswig-Holstein, the delegates were first welcomed in the Marshal Office of the Pomorskie Voivodeship by Jan Kleinszmidt, chairman of the Pomeranian regional Assembly, followed by a visit in the Pomeranian Development Agency, where they discussed investment attractiveness of the region.

German companies are among top investors in Pomerania. Companies such as Bayer, Lufthansa Systems, ThyssenKrupp or Adva Optical Networking have their sites located in Tricity.
